Dr. David Witzel is a founding partner of WNP (formerly Dr. Witzel & Partner) and advises German and foreign companies and their owners in all corporate and tax matters. He has extensive experience in succession planning, M&A transactions and international tax structuring.

His expertise includes in particular the areas of private equity, real estate and advising companies on all commercial law issues and the structuring of investments.

Dr. David Witzel studied law at the University of Heidelberg and completed his legal clerkship in Berlin. He was awarded a doctorate in law from the University of Heidelberg. He then completed a master's degree in law (LL.M.) at the University of Sydney.

Dr. David Witzel worked as an attorney and tax consultant for the leading American law firm Debevoise & Plimpton LLP for several years before specializing in providing private clients with legal advice on property law. Before that, he worked for KPMG in Frankfurt, specializing in international tax law, and for a large English law firm. Dr. Witzel is the co-author of various specialist books (including Unternehmenskauf in der Praxis (M&A in Practice) and Tax Due Diligence) and regularly gives lectures.

Dr. Witzel is an honorary member of the board of Haus & Grund Frankfurt am Main e.V. and the Union International Club e.V.
